| In my work I use materials such as plastic, wax, glass chips and plant
fiber. My process is intuitive and developed out of preparing and applying
the materials.
In my latest work, plant fibers form a covering over contrasting color
fields. I like how natural materials have subtle variations in value and
how these variations create a pattern-like structure that our eyes follow.
Plant fibers are also object-like so there is a play between 3-D and
2-D surfaces. Most of my work is non-representational to focus on process
and structure.
